Light Painting Photo ❤

My teacher showed us a really cool way to create photos. All you have to do is go into a pitch black room, grab some battery operated candles, set your camera to a slow speed, and take a picture. When someone is taking a picture, you have to move the candles at a fast speed, and you get a photo of what you were "painting." This is called light painting.

I have to admit that it was a little difficult to do at first. My partner and I had problems trying to get the camera to work and actually getting an image. Then there was the fact of trying to fully get the image. Eventually, I finally was able to get a heart.

I personally think the photo was good. The heart looks really cute too. This image also makes me think that through all the darkness and pain, love will lead the way.

Object Splatter Photo Drawing ❤

This post is pretty similar to the photography post. I had to draw the picture that I took a photo of. That photo was hands clapping together and paint going everywhere. I had a little bit of a difficult time drawing the hands at first, but after a little tweaking and fixing, I finally got them to how I like it. I also added some shading to add some definition and details.

You may notice that some of the shading is darker than others. That is because I use the different colors of shading to indicate the colors of paint (I wasn't in the mood to color it haha.) The darker shading is a raspberry pink and the lighter color is lime green.

I really liked how this turned out. I really love to draw. It helps me relax when I'm stressing out and lets me use my imagination. I hope to practice more on drawing hands though.

Object Splatter Photo ❤

Not only in art do we do art projects, but we also do photography projects too! I've always liked photography. I have been in Annual Staff for three years and I always loved taking pictures and videos.

For this picture, our teacher wanted us to do a shoot a picture that had a motion in it with a partner. My partner and I worked with paint. One idea that sounded really cool was to get paint on our hands and when we clap, the paint splatters everywhere! (It even got my clothes and my skin covered in paint too. Those are my partner's hands not mine by the way.)

I loved how the picture shows the small bits of paint look like they are in mid air! It was a lot of fun to capture this picture!

Construction Paper Sculpture ❤

In art class, we were supposed to make sculptures out of either construction paper or wire. Our teacher gave us a piece of white paper and gave us some directions on what to draw on that sheet of paper.

This is what I came up from the instructions I was given. I was told to make lines, zig-zags, semi circles, regular circles, squares, and rectangles.

At first I wasn't sure how I could make a sculpture from this until I realized that one zig-zag line I made looks like a staircase. I decided then to make that as the base of my sculpture. My sculpture wanted to fall down a lot, so I had to glue some paper together to make it stand up. I wanted to use basic and simple colors so then the sculpture wouldn't look too crazy. I did add some blue and yellow stripes on the circle, square, and rectangle so then it didn't look bland.

Overall for trying to make a sculpture out of construction paper, I thought I did an alright job. The fun thing about it is that you can use your imagination on what my sculpture looks like. (When I showed my brother, he thought it looked like a whale ^^ ) Whether you think it's a whale, car, or mountain, there is endless possibilities on what you think this sculpture could be!
